Kate earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at the Ateneo de Manila University. She was involved in cultural research and documentary production before she decided to pursue a Master’s Degree in History. Kate attended the 2003 SYLFF Asia-Pacific Regional Forum at Chiang Mai University. She is currently a lecturer at the Department of History at the Ateneo de Manila University. Kate took everyone’s breath away at the SYLFF Program Administrator's Meeting last January 2005 with her soulful rendition of “Someone to Watch Over Me”. She enjoys playing tennis and plans to skydive someday.
